The Boston Orchestra was founded in 1937 to bring together local talented musicians
and provide them with the opportunity to enjoy the experience of playing in an orchestra.
The members are the backbone of an orchestra which, outside Lincoln, has for many years
been the only regularly rehearsing amateur orchestra in the area.
Playing is often lost for the amateur musician who, after leaving school, following a career
and having a family, would then like to return to a previously enjoyed hobby.
The Boston Orchestra makes playing an instrument in the company of other enthusiasts
accessible. This is achieved by weekly rehearsals and occasional performances in the community.
Membership is open to people of all ages and varying ability who hold a
keen interest in music, and can play an orchestral instrument.

Patronage and sponsorship options are also
available for those who would like to support the orchestra.
